SPLENDID AFRICAN HAIR BRAIDING
POLICIES & SAFETY GUIDELINES

Thank you for choosing Splendid African Hair Braiding. We are committed to providing every client with a professional, relaxing, and exceptional experience. Please take a moment to review our policies and safety guidelines before your appointment.

APPOINTMENTS & BOOKINGS

  1. Appointment Scheduling
    All appointments must be scheduled in advance. A confirmation notice will be sent once your booking has been secured. Clients are expected to arrive on time. Arrivals exceeding 15 minutes past the scheduled appointment time may be required to reschedule.
  2. Deposits & Payments
    Certain services require a non-refundable $30 deposit to reserve your appointment.

The remaining balance is due immediately upon completion of the service.

Accepted forms of payment include:

• Cash
• Zelle
• Cash App
• Credit/Debit Cards

  1. Cancellations & No-Show Policy
    If you need to cancel or reschedule your appointment, please provide at least 24 hours' notice.

Failure to provide sufficient notice or missing an appointment without communication may result in:

• Forfeiture of your deposit
• Additional cancellation fees
• Limited or restricted future booking privileges

  1. Hair Preparation Requirements
    Unless a shampoo service is included, clients should arrive with hair that is:

• Clean
• Dry
• Thoroughly detangled

Additional fees may apply for washing, detangling, or extensive hair preparation.

  1. Children's Appointments
    To ensure the safety and comfort of both the client and stylist, children receiving services must remain seated and cooperative throughout the appointment. Splendid African Hair Braiding reserves the right to decline or discontinue services if a child is unable to remain still.
  2. Personal Belongings
    Splendid African Hair Braiding is not responsible for lost, stolen, or misplaced personal items. Clients are encouraged to keep all valuables in their possession at all times.

SAFETY GUIDELINES

Your well-being is our priority. Please observe the following safety procedures during your visit.

  1. Hot Water Safety (Important)
    Hot water may be used during braid finishing and sealing procedures. To help prevent burns or injuries:

• Remain still during the hot water dipping process.
• Avoid sudden head movements while your stylist is working.
• Do not touch the bowl, towel, or braids until instructed.
• Inform your stylist immediately if the water feels excessively hot or causes discomfort.

Following these precautions helps minimize the risk of splashing, burns, and other accidents.

  1. Safety Around Styling Tools
    For your protection:

• Avoid sudden movements while styling services are being performed.
• Keep your hands away from your hair unless directed otherwise.
• Exercise caution around professional tools, including scissors, razors, needles, hot combs, curling irons, and flat irons.

  1. Allergies & Scalp Conditions
    Before your appointment begins, please notify your stylist if you have:

• Product allergies
• Sensitive scalp conditions
• Skin irritations or disorders
• Tender or painful scalp areas

This information allows us to provide the safest and most comfortable service possible.

  1. Health & Sanitation Standards
    To maintain a clean and healthy environment:

• Please reschedule your appointment if you are feeling ill or experiencing symptoms of sickness.
• All tools, equipment, workstations, and styling chairs are thoroughly sanitized between clients.
• Additional guests are not permitted unless prior approval has been granted.

CLIENT RESPONSIBILITY

We appreciate your cooperation and understanding of these policies. Adhering to these guidelines helps Splendid African Hair Braiding maintain a safe, sanitary, and professional atmosphere while providing high-quality services to every client.

HAIR SERVICE & COMPLAINT POLICY

Any concerns regarding a completed service must be reported within 72 hours (3 days) of the original appointment.

Please note:

• All service sales are final.
• Refunds will not be issued under any circumstances.
• Correction, maintenance, or touch-up services are available for an additional fee.
• Adjustment costs will vary based on the hairstyle and the amount of work required.

This policy ensures consistency, fairness, and quality service for all clients.
